Hedging

We planted approximately 230 metres of new hedging in February 2022. This amounts to more than 1,500 plants - it was hard work! All planting was funded by Forest of Avon.

In January 2023 we replaced plants that had died in the prolonged drought of summer 2022. We planted 250 new saplings - they were donated by Conservation Volunteers' I Dig Trees scheme.

The species include Alder, Alder Buckthorn, Beech, Birch, Crab Apple, Dogwood, Dog Rose, Field Maple, Guelder Rose, Hawthorn, Hazel, Hornbeam, Oak, Rowan, Spindle.
